Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assist in completing screening, intakes activities and orientation of new families
2. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer aid clients with keeping compliance with program
expectations
3. Oversee security and safety by making routine interior and exterior checks during shift
4. Assists families with day-to-day life skills assistance, as needed.
5. Documents all critical incidents and safety issues using program communication system
6. Ensure family daily chores are complete each night
7. Complete daily housekeeping duties, including room checks each night
8. Assist colleagues and volunteers with coordination of events and workshops
9. Coordinate orientation of new family members as they enter the program
10. Provide emergency crisis management to families
11. Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a Human Services related field preferred
Minimum two years experience working with populations with mental illness, development disabilities and/or substance abuse, and economically disadvantaged youth and/or families
Knowledge, sKILLS, & competencies
• Passion working with economically disadvantaged, culturally diverse, and at-risk families
• Excellent customer service
• Organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills specifically Microsoft Suites
• Crisis management
• Great attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of community resources for economically disadvantaged youth and families
• Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Haitian Creole, English/Portuguese) preferred
