Winfred Micheni
Direct Care / Residential Counselor
Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Winnie's journey in social services started with a desire to create a positive impact on people’s lives by supporting and empowering them to overcome their challenges and attain their goals. As a current student at Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) with an expected graduation of December 2024 with an Associate's Degree in Human Services, Winnie feels formal education is one of the ways in which she continues to equip herself with the necessary knowledge and skills required in the ever evolving field of Human Services.
Her wealth of experience working with older adults and people with developmental disabilities, has laid the foundation for her work at Meryl’s Safe Haven to create a safe and nurturing environment for families encompassing emotional, social and physical well-being.
A big Marvel fan, Winnie enjoys spending down to watching movies, going to the beach, swimming, and walking.
